Navy blue the sky with silver
Salve. The sky is really beautiful tonight. There was a bar of cloud across a wide strip, and it was so perfectly smooth and nicely shaped.
I got a lot of Europe shopping done tonight. I stayed up late to do it, but I got a ton of stuff that will make the little weekend trips much easier (like plastic bottles to put shampoo in and stuff like that). Also I found some pretty great black pants at Walmart, which means I can retire my sad ones that I like but that don't fit well. The poor lady at the try-on rooms got tired of seeing me come up with big piles, I'm sure. But she was nice. :)
I regrettably missed seeing my Mom tonight before she went to bed, though, which is sad. And my Dad is out of town, and Doug and Laura are at a movie. Quiet house. I will miss my family when I'm gone. Two weeks is remarkably soon.
Last night, I got a better perspective on what it will be like to be gone. Justin and I were at the top of the new parking garage in Blacksburg and looked out on the town. It's really amazing, how completely different it looks from so high. Not that I can't recognize it, but since I'm here so much of the time, it's rare to have the feeling of being unfamiliar with my surroundings. It was kind of cool, because it brought home the feeling of "yes, I'm really going to be in Europe by this time in three weeks. Less, even." Wow.
Well, I am going to bring this blog to a close. Goodnight all.
Just to let you know
, I'm alive. Really. I will post again, and everything will be fine. :)
The quick update:
God is good.
I like Justin a lot.
I'm thankful for my friends and family and the improved relationships of late.
Europe is in... not so many days! AAaahh! I have to pack and stuff!
Good morning
Last night was a fun night of dinner with my family, Justin, and the Riva roommates. I think the lasagnas turned out satisfactorily, and the peanut butter pie was beyond question delicious. Then we studied for a while for the Italian exam, which was early this morning. I was not happy to get up so early, but the sky was so beautiful and the test went well, so that's okay. :)
Tomorrow is the last exam! I wonder what it will feel like to be done. I think probably if I'm not careful to be thankful to God and enjoy it, alas I will feel busy all over again without relaxing, as soon as I start to work.
Well, God is good. I am so thankful for a fun night last night with everybody, a great talk with Justin afterward, and getting my heart headed back on track with God. It's been great to want to pray again and open my heart up to God and be vulnerable with Him.
Well, y'all have a nice day. If you stop by the blog, please say hi. :)
Hurrah!
for being more done than before! God is good. The snow is pretty, and I hope to see more before I go in January. Today I finished up with piano; I am very glad to be able to stop practicing for a while now. I didn't play perfectly, but it went fine anyhow.
Tomorrow is chillin with Amanda, the Greek exam, and dinner with Justin, Justin's roommate in Switzerland, my roommate in Switzerland, and my family. We already got the food made for that yesterday.
I read some in Psalms today, Psalm 90 and 92. They are really good.
The aire is drie
Salutations! It's very late but I...want to blog now. I need to be reflecting on my learning styles, but my brain is still engaging.
Today Justin and I went to North Carolina to visit Justin's friend Ken, and my grandmother, Mema. It was a great day with great visits. I'd never met Ken before. We had lunch with him at Cici's (that's all you can eat, you know), and then we headed over to Mema's. We had a nice time talking with her, then we played Scrabble and ate dinner and dessert, which was great, but especially filling. :) Good stuff. I hadn't had a real Mema dinner in a while.
Well, I must be going now, Pooh said in a rather sticky voice. Y'all have a great night.
The sun still shines
Hello, friends.
It's been a long, hard past few days, but it looks like we're going to make it. :) The website is almost done (check back on Friday--it's due at noon so it'll be my for-a-while final version). I turned in two projects/papers today and made it through the day on minimal sleep. Of course, everything is a little bleaker and more stressful on minimal sleep, but like I said, I think we're going to make it now. :)
So good night, and please come visit me often at my blog. I'll miss you dear people when I can't see your faces for a few months.
Progress
is wonderful. Everything on my site is working and looking much better now. :)
I hope all you website testers have found your way here, and thank you again for participating.
I hope to update my blog much more regularly in the future, particularly when I'm in Europe.
For now I'm headed to school, so everyone have a great day!
